5 Tips For Choosing A Tooth Replacement Option

There are plenty of options when it comes to tooth replacement, and you should never feel that you have no options when it comes to obtaining a better-looking smile that is durable and lasts for the long-term.

Tip #1 Veneers

If you have issues that pertain to tooth discoloration or chips, dents, or gapping, then veneer is a good option for tooth replacement.  Veneers help your teeth look brand new and can give the look of perfection.  Veneers are known to be ‘Hollywood type of teeth.’  The dentist will remove a small portion of enamel off of your teeth during the first appointment and will schedule you for a second visit to place the veneer onto your natural tooth.

Tip #2 Dental Implants

Are you are missing only a few teeth? Then dental implants will be an excellent option when you are dealing with tooth replacements. This option is ideal for people who do not want to have to take out dentures and clean them continually.  Dental implants feel as if they are your real teeth, enabling you an ability to enjoy your smile, food, and the entire natural aesthetic look that they provide.  This procedure is a bit more invasive than others on the list, but well worth it if you have some missing teeth and need a tooth replacement option.  Dental implants are pricey, but worth it for those of you who want low maintenance.

Tip #3 Partial Dentures

Your dentist can make you partial dentures if you are missing teeth and do not want to have to deal with an invasive procedure such as dental implants. Partial dentures can help you chew your food as you would with your original teeth.  Tooth replacements can be expensive; partial dentures can cost roughly around $2,500.00.

Tip #4 Full Dentures

Full dentures are similar to partials, although this tooth replacement option is a lot more extensive and more pricer for the mere fact that this covers most of your mouth, not a partial part of your mouth.  The cost for full dentures via the top portion of your mouth, not the bottom of the teeth, will cost you around $1,475-$3,150, depending on your dentist and the region that you are located.

Tip #5 Resin-Bonding Bridge

This method only works for the front teeth; a resin-bonding bridge is not as durable as your molars.

Before you go ahead and decide what tooth replacement option is best for you, it is crucial that you have a lengthy conversation with a qualified and experienced cosmetic dentist who can help you attain the smile you want.

If you are missing teeth, have issues, and you are not happy with your teeth, then discussing your myriads of options is your best bet.  Having a more beautiful smile, along with an ability to chew your food better than before will allow you to live your best life yet.
